Chrissy Teigen and husband John Legend announced the birth of Luna last week. The proud mom shared a first photo of her and the new baby girl Luna Simone — just five days after giving birth. She posted the photo, along with the caption, “Hi my lulu!”
The couple announced the arrival of their first child on Sunday, tweeting,
“Our new love is here! Luna Simone Stephens, born on Thursday, the 14th. We are so in love with you! And sleepy. Very sleepy,” along with the baby’s weight — 6 lbs., 11 oz. “We couldn’t be happier!” the couple wrote on social media.
An inside source confirmed that Luna’s middle name, Simone, is a tribute to the late singer and civil rights activist Nina Simone, who is a legend to John.
