This morning as I was searching the web for fresh content to post to UrbanImageMagazine.com I came to the realization that I am tired of the Freddie Gray story. I’m sick of it! Not that I don’t identify with the brother, cause I do. Believe me I do. I am a black man in America who just came home from serving 10 years in prison. During my last days behind the fence I asked someone very dear to me, “Is it legal for a felon to wear a bullet proof vest?” Not that I was planning to dive right back into the streets. But, it’s painfully evident that African American men are being hunted down like dogs.
It’s just the same story over and over with a different spin on it, and next month there will be another Freddie Gray. I don’t like doing a lot of unneccesary rappin’ about things that call for action. What is it there talk about?
