Today the hip-hop music world celebrates the birthday of former rapper and N.W.A group member, Eric Lynn Wright, better known as Eazy-E. Born in the Compton suburban area of Los Angeles, California, Wright was most commonly referred to as “The Godfather of Gangsta Rap.” The late rapper who began recording music during the 1980’s in his parents,’ garage sold nearly 3 million copies of his debut album, “Eazy-Duz It.” Eazy-E was the founder of Ruthless Records and also a founding member of N.W.A; along with rappers Dr. Dre and Ice Cube. Together the rappers released “100 Miles and Runnin,’” “Death Certificate,” “Straight Outta Compton,” and countless other hits.
On March 26, 1995, the celebrated rapper passed away at the tender age of 32.
