Michelle Obama announces single featuring Missy Elliott and Kelly Clarkson. The benefit single, was written by, Grammy-winning legend Diane Warren to benefit the Let Girls Learn Fund. The Obamas launched their campaign(s), Girl Rising and Let Girls Learn in an effort to get the word spread about the campaign for girls world wide who aren’t in school . FLOTUS teamed up with a group of incredible women — Missy Elliott, Janelle Monáe, Zendaya, Chloe & Halle, JadaGrace, Kelly Rowland, Kelly Clarkson, and Lea Michele — to release “This Is For My Girls,” a song about female empowerment.
