Monday morning, just before 8 o’clock, Sonja Wells Raine of Moss Point, Miss. was shot and killed by her husband at her workplace, a WIC office she managed in Pascagoula, Miss.

Police say the shooting was part of a domestic dispute between the two.

The husband was also taken to the hospital and is listed in critical condition. However, the nature of his injuries, and how he sustained them is not clear.

Thankfully, no one else was in the building at the time of the shooting.

Here’s my thing: just leave me, ok. Don’t shoot me. Don’t stab me. Don’t set me on fire. Don’t strangle me. Don’t beat me to death. Just leave me and let me work out the loss of the relationship in therapy. Please. And I promise to do the same for you.
