Take a look into her eyes. She was overwhelmed with what was happening to her and took a very drastic step. The act of taking her life has rocked not only her family but social media and her suicide was blasted all over Facebook. Now as the family pushes to have it removed, they are being told it cannot be removed.
Katelyn Nicole Davis was only 12 years old before the events of December 30th. As the police were investigating the sexual abuse allegations by a family member, she live-streamed her suicide by hanging outside her family’s home in Cedartown, Georgia apparently on multiple media outlets.
Reports say that there is approximately 20 minutes of silence after her death until it is pierced in the background by family calling her name and looking for her before the footage ends. The video has been streamed across social media multiple times despite the efforts of law enforcement to stop it. Police were made aware of the video after police in California saw it on the night of her death. Investigation into her family continues at this time. All this began after Katelyn published a diary entry on line 3 days before alleging sex abuse and assault.
“It hurts. Everywhere hurts,” Katelyn, going by the nickname “Dolly,” wrote on her blog. “My heart, my soul, my feelings, my body…”
Continued effort to remove the video from all sources continues.
