Naomi Campbell was upset to learn that she’d been named a homewrecker and the cause of the divorce between her millionaire Russian boyfriend, Vladimir Doronin and his estranged wife, Ekaterina. According to Campbell,Vladimir and Ekaterina had been separated for ten years before she started dating him in 2008. He had a seven year long relationship with another woman before he met Naomi.
Ekaterina states “It’s a ridiculous affair. Vladimir is married to me and we are still a couple. Naomi is deluding herself if she thinks she can take my husband.”
Well…the couple have been dating for 4 years, so I don’t know who’s really delusional. Especially after the very public gift Doronin gave Naomi: a beautiful house on an island…
Yeah, I guess that make a wife a little salty, too. However, Naomi has no one to blame for the drama but herself, being that she knew her boo was still technically married. He certainly had the time and money to divorce his wife, and is most likely holding out due to the huge amount he’s going to have to dish out to his wife.
MESSY, MESSY, MESSY…DO YOU FEEL SORRY FOR HER??
Toure is pretty much known for voicing his opinion especially when it comes to the black community. I’m not sure if that is a good thing or not. Every time I hear anything from him all I can do is shake my head. Everyone has a right to their own opinion but how much time after that person say something do you have to wait before you can curse them out for saying stupid shit?
A lot of people really do need to have their phones taken away or any device that will allow them to hop on a social media network especially if they have enough clout that people will notice what they say immediately and share or retweet it. We all know about the Trayvon Martin case, you are affected by it in one way or another. Toure took to Twitter and said some…well you read and tell me if it was insensitive:
“You’re Zimmering me = You’re killing me.”
Was it a big deal to you? I haven’t marinated on it enough so I wanna know what you think about the tweet? So many people have complained about his comment he eventually apologized, sort of. “Fine. It was a bad joke. Obviously not meant to be heartless. Days and days of intellectual discourse re Trayvon went over some heads I see. My position on Trayvon has been clear for days. I shouldn’t have attacked his murderer with a facetious attempt at dark humor.”
Will someone shut this brotha up and guide him back to where his common sense was last seen? Do he have a PR person? If he does I suggest he fire him/her asap. He is a father for Christ’s sake, how would he feel if he was in Trayvon’s parents’ place and someone joked about it? Guarantee he would be shitty. He has clearly forgotten how to be empathetic to sad situations. Uncle Tom or a realist? Definitely Uncle Tom!
Let me hit you with another one. Half creator of DefJam, turned fashion designer, turned author, turned vegan and philanthropist Russell Simmons also had this message to say to black people. He let blacks know that we should not start a race war over Trayvon’s murder. As much as people are calling him an Uncle Tom I have to agree with him. Think about it, what happens when we have something in groups? We fight. Small things not remotely important enough to fight over will send us over the edge. Don’t act like you don’t know what I am talking about. For Trayvon we cannot fail him by fighting the same way G. Zimmerman did. Yeah, yeah an eye for an eye but why run the risk of killing more innocent people in the process of dishing out revenge? At the end of the day we may feel satisfied with putting justice into our own hands but we will not have solved the problem. They already view up as violent why prove them right? I’m putting the realist label on Russell.
We need to stand our ground, approach and create a game plan just as diligent and passionate as we have in putting together these marches and sites/blogs. And we also need to stop killing each other. we can’t solve the violence aimed at us from other races if we can’t stop the violent behavior we have toward each other. Can I get an Amen?!
Hopefully enough of you have taken those fantasy glasses off so we can make some changes in our communities across the board. We need to be the change we want our community to be.
Peace and luv!

Oprah Winfrey changed daytime talk. For 25 years she has come into everyone’s living room every weekday afternoon. Last year she decided to walk away from that throne to a much bigger one. She called it OWN. In the fall Ellen took over her old time slot. If you notice though the majority of talk shows were spawned from first being introduced on Oprah’s show. She basically co-signed people like Dr. Oz, Dr Phil and Nate Burkus to have their own talk show and of course anything Ms. Winfrey touches turns to gold. Even though Steve Harvey already had his own successful career path he was able to go on Oprah’s show and make such an impression from his Act Like A Lady, Think Like A Man bestseller that she brought him on a few more times due to the response from her female audience. He got flack from fellas for telling their secrets and breaking the man code. I know I was on the list at the library for months before I could finally check it out.
To be honest I loved the book. Thing is I went into it with an open mind. Some black women argued that no man should tell them how to act; they couldn’t get passed being told what to do in order to get a man. Even with some negative cloud over this book people were buying it, skyrocketing his already successful career. The book has led him to turn it into a movie which has a star studded cast. The many titles under his belt can get longer.
There is no concrete debut date but things are moving along for Steve Harvey to have his own talk show in Chi-town on NBC. It’s time for something for the fellas. I think that’s great considering there really are no talk shows specifically for men; when you think about talk shows men do not come to the mind at least not in a positive way. I guess he might have felt a little guilty for breaking that man code.
Steve Harvey said he will NOT be interviewing celebrities because 1) they always have an agenda for being on shows and PR people to choreograph their answers and 2) they are forever cancelling at the last minute; real people don’t. Again there is no title name or release date for the show yet.
Would you watch? How do you feel about a black man sort of telling us how to think like a man? In order to get back on track with establishing a good relationship between sisahs and brothas we need to communicate and nobody is doing that. We talk ‘at’ each other instead of ‘to’ each other and that is sad. What gets me is how can some of my sistahs get upset and refuse advice from our own brothas where the advice is more likely coming from a good place but go on numerous talk shows and dish our dirty laundry to these white people who is only doing this just to fill a slot on the show and want us to feel that we are broken and damaged for the reason we are not married? Come on lets get it together ladies. For the record I don’t think that our lack of not being married at a certain age is that much of a detriment that it should make us feel like we are dysfunctional. Every race has the same problem. That kind of thinking is worse than what Steve Harvey has written anywhere in that book. I’m game for watching the show. This could be what breaks the camel’s back to get rid of the negative stereotypes stamped on my brothas.
Peace and luv!
